In 1990 Grandmaster Dr. George Verigan started the annual Kick for Cancer Martial Arts Tournament. The purpose is to teach students how to give back to their community and to help them to realize that at some point in their lives we will all know someone who will need the services provided by hospice. Each year proceeds of this tournament go to support the Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice.
“Over the last 20 years, Kick for Cancer has raised an impressive amount totaling over $150,000,” states Vinnie Baiocchetti, Tournament Director and owner of the White Dragon Martial Arts of New Hampshire.
“What a great event,” says Brian Winslow, past Director of Development for Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, “I was lucky enough to attend the Kick for Cancer last year and was surprised not just by the number of participants but also by the fact that competitors were coming from all over the country to be part of this event.”
This years’ Kick for Cancer is being held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the White Dragon Martial Arts of New Hampshire located at Gilmanton Elementary School, 1386 NH Route 140, Gilmanton Ironworks.
