On Saturday, October 27th, Gathering Time, a New York based folk-rock trio, will perform at the Inter-Lakes High School community auditorium. The concert benefits Central NH VNA & Hospice. Gathering Time has wowed crowds throughout the Northeast with songs from the era of civil rights, peace, and social concern. Think Peter Paul and Mary, add some CSNY and a little Pete Seeger and you can imagine the wonderful music you will hear. Some selections may include Turn Turn Turn (The Byrds), Suite: Judy Blue Eyes (CSN), If I Had My Way (Peter, Paul & Mary), Ripple (Grateful Dead), City of New Orleans (Arlo Guthrie), and Teach Your Children (CSN). The concert is hosted Temple B’Nai Israel of Laconia. Now in their fifth year, this is the 10th benefit concert they have organized to raise much needed dollars for our community. Central VNA feels lucky to have been chosen as the recipient of their generosity. Doors open at 7pm. You can enjoy complimentary refreshments, lovingly prepared and donated by Temple volunteers, until the concert begins at 7:45.
Having raised thousands of dollars for us in the past, Temple B’nai Israel is launching their 2017 Families Matter initiative which includes a photo & video contest and a concert to provide much needed resources to lakes region families. To learn more about submissions of funny, heart-warming or poignant pics or clips of your family, or to learn how this contest works, visit http://families-matter.causevox.com.
Temple B’nai Israel’s We Care concert series is bringing one of the world’s premiere a cappella choral groups, Pitch Slapped, to the stage on Saturday, October 21st at the Meredith Community Auditorium located at Inter-Lakes High School. Pitch Slapped represents the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and has appeared on NBC’s “The Sing Off” and “America’s Got Talent.” The performance will benefit Belknap House and Genesis Behavioral Health, both of which partner with Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice to care for local families and children in the Lakes Region.
